Watford (A) 28/12/2021

Ahead of Tuesday's match, Hammers heading to Vicarage Road can find all the information they need to know below:

Watford will be performing random COVID-19 pass spot-checks on visiting supporters.

All adult fans (18+) should be prepared to present their NHS Covid Pass upon request. The following methods will be accepted as proof of COVID status:

  • A digital NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App
  • A printed version of the NHS pass
  • A negative lateral flow or PCR test result, shown on text or email, obtained no earlier than 48 hours before kick-off (ideally within 24 hours)
  • International proof of vaccine will also be accepted, as long it is from an approved country

Any children under the age of 18 are exempt from Covid certification checks.

Once nearing turnstiles, supporters are required to wear a face covering – or, if exempt, advise staff accordingly - as they’ll be entering potentially crowded spaces and indoor concourse areas where mask-wearing is mandatory. Once in the stadium bowl in seats, the wearing of a face covering is not legally required, but is recommended.

General attendee information

The nearest station is Watford High Street, a 10-minute walk away from the ground. Watford Junction train station is about a 20-minute walk. Watford also has its own London Underground tube station, which is on the Metropolitan Line and is situated just under one mile from Vicarage Road.

Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off, and we would always encourage supporters to arrive as early as possible to ensure their smooth entry into Vicarage Road. Bags larger than A4 will not be permitted into Vicarage Road.

The designated ‘away’ pub is The Oddfellows, WD18 0RD, which is around a 6-minute walk to the ground.

Supporters can find a variety of pies in the away end, with a chickpea and tomato vegetarian option available, along with hot and cold soft drinks. Alcohol is not served in the away end due to the limited concourse size.

We have a designated away ticket office next to the away end should supporters need any assistance when they arrive, and the Vicarage Roadies help team (dressed in green) will also be in various locations to offer help if needed!

To report any anti-social or discriminatory behaviour while at Vicarage Road, we would encourage all supporters to text the details to 07825 535269, including a description of the incident and the block, row and seat. This allows our safety and security team to take action as the incident occurs.
