Hackney Half Marathon:

The Hackney Half Marathon is back! Hackney Moves returns for two days of fitness and fun across the weekend of 17-18 May, including the Hackney Half Marathon taking place on Sunday 18 May 2025. The Half Marathon Route, which remains very similar to 2024, will involve road closures in your area. We are working with local authorities, TFL and emergency services to minimise disruptions caused. TFL (Link):

Elizabeth Line - Please be aware that a reduced service will operate on the Elizabeth Line between Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4 / Maidenhead on Sunday 18 May.

Key changes:

  • No service at Acton Main Line, West Ealing, and Hanwell

  • 2 trains per hour to/from: Heathrow Terminal 4, West Drayton, Langley, Slough, Burnham, Maidenhead

  • 4 trains per hour to/from: Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3

  • 6 trains per hour to/from: Ealing Broadway, Southall, Hayes & Harlington

Platform changes possible between Ealing Broadway and Langley – please check departure screens or speak to a member of staff to ensure you are on the correct platform.

Waterloo & City - The Waterloo & City Line has planned closure on the entire line on Sunday 18th May. There is no service on Saturdays, Sunday and on bank/public holidays.

District Line - There is a part closure on this service between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway.

DLR - No DLR service between Poplar / Stratford International and Beckton / Woolwich Arsenal.

Travel alternatives:

  • Jubilee Line between Stratford and Canning Town

  • Elizabeth Line between Custom House and Woolwich

  • Replacement buses:

    • DLR2: Canary Wharf – Beckton (via Poplar, Canning Town, Custom House, etc.)

    • DLR5: Canning Town – King George V (via West Silvertown, London City Airport)

    • DLR6: Canning Town – London City Airport (only runs 06:30–13:00 Saturday, 10:30–22:00 Sunday)

Mildmay - Extra Services for Hackney Half-Marathon:

  • From 06:25, additional trains every 15 minutes between Camden Road and Stratford in both directions.

  • 08:48 Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction train will start from Shepherds Bush.

  • 09:15 Gospel Oak to Clapham Junction train will start from Shepherds Bush; next train at 09:27.

  • 09:31 Stratford to Richmond and 09:38 Stratford to Clapham Junction trains will start from Willesden Junction.

Evening Disruption (from 21:30):

  • No service between Willesden Junction and Richmond.

  • Use the District Line between Gunnersbury, Kew Gardens, and Richmond.

  • Replacement Bus Service R runs between Willesden Junction and Gunnersbury, calling at Acton Central, South Acton (Acton Lane), Turnham Green, and Chiswick Park.

  • Last full through trains:

    • 21:01 Stratford to Richmond

    • 21:40 Richmond to Stratford

Late Trains Terminating Early:

  • 21:31 and 22:01 Stratford to Willesden Junction trains will terminate at Gospel Oak (arrive 21:56 and 22:26 respectively).

Piccadilly - Piccadilly Line Disruption – Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 May

  • No service between King’s Cross St Pancras and Osterley / Uxbridge from 04:30 Saturday and all day Sunday (includes Night Tube).

  • Alternative travel:

    • Use the Metropolitan Line between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge.

    • Replacement buses operate:

Replacement Bus Services:

  • PL1 (Day & Night): Green Park – Osterley (via key stops including South Kensington, Hammersmith, Turnham Green, Acton Town, Ealing Broadway, etc.)

    • Note: Green Park to Hammersmith section runs overnight only

  • PL2 (Daytime only): Hammersmith – Osterley (non-stop)

  • PL4 (Daytime only): Gunnersbury – Rayners Lane (serving Acton Town, Hanger Lane, Alperton, Sudbury Hill, South Harrow, etc.)

C2C (Link)

There will be engineering works between Liverpool Street and Barking and Between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness. These engineering works will affect the Ockendon and Basildon Line services.

Basildon Line - These services will start and terminate at Fenchurch Street and Leigh-on-Sea, calling at West Ham but not calling at Stratford.

Ockendon Line - These services will start and terminate at Leigh-on-Sea, rail replacement will be in operation between Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness.

Greater Anglia (Link): 

There are two routes affected for Sunday's game, Norwich - Bury St Edmund and Ipswich as well as London Liverpool Street to Cheshunt, please do check before you travel and allow enough time to avoid any further disruption.
